When is lupe fiasco lasers coming out

What map are you using? Ha Hah, take that, you little bastard! I remind Lupe that he still has three more records to make for Atlantic Records before they will release him from his six-album deal. That — and perhaps the jetlag from having flown to London from LA this morning — explains something.

He never lets his rage excite him; he definitely never raises his voice. So I have to stop caring, because I have always really cared about what these people think, and what these magazines think, and if I get this Grammy or not. I care about this shit too much. The protest effort was preceded by an online petition signed by Fiasco followers. It read: "The fans below have been waiting for the release for Lupe Fiasco's album 'Lasers' for over a good year now… Enough is enough, we demand that you stop playing around and give us the album that we have been highly anticipating since the release of 'The Cool.

The rapper has also tackled music piracy, fighting track leaks on various blogs -- some of which have reportedly stopped covering the rapper due to his strong opposition to piracy. However, Fiasco says his stance on hackers and leaks remains the same.

It upsets the balance of what you want to do as an artist and how you want to roll your album out. He adds: "People don't really understand the ramifications when a song leaks. There are actually studios that are sued, and engineers that are fired. I don't mind having people come in and support. That's how my career started. With all that said, I own some of 'Superstar. Na, that's not success. I gotta do what's best. You can't knock him for trying something new, but the tools he should be using-- his rubbery wordplay, thoughtful commentary, sheer love of the art form-- get ditched, with nothing interesting to replace them.

This is mostly true even on the songs that sound like Atlantic's reward to Lupe for holding up his end of the bargain. Or maybe I'm wrong about all this and in time, Lasers will make the bean counters happy enough to grant Lupe the resources to and freedom to do whatever he envisions as his classic.

Then again, his emo past is well noted-- as is the chip on his shoulder.
